Veteran’s Preference Information
Veterans who are disabled, who served on active duty in the Armed Forces during certain specified time periods or in military campaigns are entitled to preference over others in hiring for virtually all federal government jobs.
Veteran’s Preference Advisor
The Veterans’ Preference Advisor was developed by the Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (VETS) to allow Veterans to examine the preferences for which they might be entitled with regard to Federal jobs.
In addition, VETS allows Veterans’ Preference claimants to submit a claim electronically VETS staff members are available to provide technical assistance prior to filing an official claim.
